Today was an “inside” day, for rest, for taking care of things, making a list of painting spots for my last few weeks. It’s hard to believe I’m more than half-way through my stay here. I know time will fly very quickly now.

What a full day. Painted with the art group in the morning (that’s Sylvia’s Back Yard). Loved being Jill’s passenger and company for photo exhibition of Pierangelo Lanfranchi at Masterworks, and portraits exhibition of Bernard Poulin at BSoA at Hamilton City Hall. Thanks, Jill, for inviting me along!

Happy tired. Had a wonderful day painting at the Botanical Gardens, and the company (and rides, thanks!) of Jill and Diana. I might still touch up the paintings a bit, but I’ll post them now anyway. Thank you to my wonderful models, who had just enjoyed Afternoon Tea at Homer’s Cafe.

Once I was at the “other” end of the island, thanks to a lovely coffee morning event, I continued on to Dockyard. I haven’t spent much time there since it is so distant, but I enjoyed drawing the glassworks team very much. Many thanks to glass artists Chrissie, Stephanie and Damond for allowing me to sketch. I’ll try to work there again.

Felt very productive today. I even did laundry! Also took photos of recent paintings.

Clifford and I went to the Aquarium. We were like kids today. What an amazing place it is!

A very calm morning, very different from last week’s blustery days. The plein air group met at Coney Island — a great place to paint. The longtails (White-tailed tropicbirds) were numerous and noisy and a delight to watch, but difficult to photograph.

Wonderful times spent with friends. I’ve eaten very well today!!!

Morning was cloudy, but I think the crazy weather pattern is ending, thank goodness. Enough of getting drenched at least once per painting!

I was delighted to join Sylvia and the IWC Art Group for a morning of painting at St. Anne’s Rectory in Southampton. Thank you to everyone. What a nice morning!

The morning painting and I got rained on a few times, but I’m determined to keep at it! The weather continues blustery and wildly variable.
